Hmmm... use samples in fast mem?!
I'm assuming you're allocating XXX amount of ChipRAM to hold the
sample-data for each voice then utilizing some kind of super-fast
memory-copy to transfer the sound data from FastRAM into the
ChipRAM voice-buffers, correct?
Radical stuff!!!!
We should all submit any cool routines we've developed for our
stages into some kind of Dev-Pool. This way, each list game will
have more resources to draw from and so, theoretically each list
project will be easier to make better. After two or three projects,
we'd have one heck of a development-pool filled with ultra-fast,
advanced routines and such.
I've donated two utilities, you can pitch in your SoundPlayer and
the other guys could pitch in a module or tool to kind of lay the
foundation for the guys who follow us with the second ListProject...
Take care,
GARFIELD
